Coming from a family that has long been involved in the catering service industry, it came as no surprise to anyone when Bernard Sultana Stoner decided to follow a course of studies at the Institute of Tourism Studies and follow in their footsteps. Now, having worked in the catering service industry for fourteen years, both in Malta and London, Bernard has gained experience in a varied range of services – from serving coffee to restaurant management. Bernard gained his first work experience at Da Rosi, St. Paul’s Bay where he worked for two years. He then moved to London where he worked at the Hotel Renaissance at London Gatwick and at the Holiday Inn at London Heathrow where he held the position of Head Barman. Returning to Malta he spent two years at the Academia Café in Valletta, specializing in coffee preparation and decoration, including etching and Latte Art. This was followed by two years at the Kitchen Garden Cafeteria at the President’s Palace where he had the honor of serving President George Abela. In 2005, Bernard joined the staff at Peperoncino where he has been manager since 2012. Here with the benefit of his expertise and together with his efficient and dedicated staff, he is determined to provide customers with a pleasant, relaxing and unforgettable dining experience.
